Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl:
  • Salad serving bowl
  • Knife and Cutting Board:
  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash the romaine lettuce heads thoroughly under cold running water. Shake off excess water and pat dry with paper towels. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Grate the Parmesan cheese using a box grater or a micro plane grater. Set aside.
  • If you're using store-bought croutons, measure out 1 cup and add them to the mixing bowl with the chopped lettuce.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing and the juice of half a lemon. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed.
  • Pour the dressing over the lettuce and croutons in the mixing bowl. Toss gently to coat the salad evenly with the dressing.
  • Add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the salad and toss again to combine.
  • Transfer the dressed salad to a salad serving bowl.
  • If desired, garnish the salad with additional croutons and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer or alongside your favorite main course.
