Method

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
Gather all the ingredients you'll need, including ground beef, hamburger buns, cheese slices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, condiments, and any desired seasonings.
  2. Form the Patties:
Divide the ground beef into equal portions and shape them into patties. Season the patties with salt, pepper, or any other desired seasonings.
  3. Preheat the Skillet or Grill:
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. If you're using a skillet, you may want to add a little oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the Patties:
Once the skillet or grill is hot, place the burger patties on it. Cook for about 3-4minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 160°F(71°C).
  5. Toast the Buns (Optional):
If desired, you can lightly toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or oven.
  6. Assemble the Burgers:
Place a slice of cheese on each patty while they're still hot so it melts slightly. Then, place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Add any desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments.
  7. Serve:
Place the top half of the buns on each burger and serve immediately. You can also serve with side dishes like fries or coleslaw if desired.
