Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons, olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Equipment

  • Tongs or Spatula
  • Measuring Spoons and Cups
  • Cutting Board and Knife
  • Basting Brush Optional
  • Kitchen Thermometer Optional
  • Platter or Serving Dish
  • Aluminum Foil (if grilling)

Method

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Mix up all those tasty marinade ingredients in a bowl – olive oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and the rest of the gang. Pour it over your chicken in a bag or dish, pop it in the fridge, and let it hang out for at least 30 minutes (the longer, the better).
  2. Fire Up the Grill or Skillet: Get your grill niceand hot, or heat up a skillet on the stove. We're talkin' medium-high heat here– enough to get a good sear on that chicken.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Take the chicken out of the marinade, shake off any excess, and toss it onto the grill or into the skillet. Let it sizzle away for about 6-8minutes per side, until it's cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. If you're feeling fancy, you can baste it with some extra marinade while it cooks.
  4. Check for Doneness: Use a kitchen thermometer if you've got one handy to make sure the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). That's when you know it's done!
  5. Rest and Serve: Once the chicken is cooked to perfection, transfer it to a plate or platter and let it rest for a few minutes. This gives the juices a chance to settle in and keeps the meat nice and juicy. Then, dig in and enjoy your delicious steak chicken with your favorite sides!
